Discover Technical Diving
Description
Curious about technical diving? Discover Tec is a short confined-water experience that introduces you to the world of tec diving. Try on the additional technical gear and learn basic tec skills and procedures before committing to a full certification. Discover Tec may also credit toward the Tec Basics and Tec 40 Diver courses.
Academic
During your Discover Tec experience you’ll learn to:
- Wear and use technical diving equipment
- Switch from a primary to a secondary regulator
- Perform gas shutdown procedures
- Try the fundamental skills used in technical diving
Available Languages
Course materials are available in English.
Equipment
You’ll wear a full technical diving setup – including the extra cylinders and regulators used in tec diving – so you can experience the gear before committing to a course. All specialised equipment is provided.
Getting Started
To take part in Discover Tec you should be:
- A PADI (or qualifying) Open Water Diver
- At least 15 years old
- Logged a minimum of 10 dives
